My name is Lynnette Morales and I teach piano

at my private studio in Kent, WA.

I fell in love with teaching piano

in my last year of high school

and my first year at

Green River Community College.

After GRCC, I attended and graduated

from Moody Bible Institute

with a Bachelor of Arts in Piano.

Now I teach piano full time!

Teacher Goals

Playing the piano has been and continues

to be a great joy in my life.

But an even greater joy is getting

to share that gift through teaching.

My primary goal in teaching is

to equip each student

with the foundation to do anything with piano 

whether that be playing on a worship team,

accompanying a jazz band in high school,

mastering classical music,

becoming a piano major,

writing music,

or just playing for his/her personal enjoyment.

To meet this goal, I use the Bastien curriculum.

It is a comprehensive curriculum that

includes written theory, technical exercises,

and a variety of music from many genres.

I also encourage students to choose

supplemental material and recital pieces

from many different genres

including jazz, rags, blues, hymns, choruses,

pop music, video game music, and movie scores.  

We also have a lot of fun with numerous

incentives, games, studio competitions,

collaborating with other musicians,

performing in recitals,

and an annual awards ceremony.
